How to set up EasyCap cables for xbox/ps3/wii recording

We're gonna start off with what you need:
1. EasyCap/EzCap
2. Your xbox/ps3/wii cables.
3. 1 Male to 2 Female RCA Splitter. (Search: Amazon, Ebay) (YOU NEED 3 OF THESE)

Both of the splitters on the images above will work.

4. 3 RCA Male to 3 RCA Male Extension. (Search: Amazon, Ebay) (YOU NEED ONLY ONE)


The extension cable needs to be long enough to reach from your TV to your computer.


Step 1.
Plug all three RCA splitters into the RCA slots on your TV.



Put the all three of your splitters (Shown above) into the inputs shown on the image below.

Step 2.
Plug the RCA cables from your xbox/ps3/wii (Click to show pictures) into into one of the female slots on your splitters.
(The colors need to match!)

Step 3.
Plug one end of the RCA extender-cable outputs into the open splitter inputs, and the other ends into the EasyCap.
(The colors need to match here too, but on both ends of the extension cable!)

How to compress videos using VirtualDub



What you will need:
1. VirtualDub
2. Xvid Codec (Download here)
3. A video to compress

Let's get started!

Step 1.
Open your video file by clicking "File", and then "Open video file".



Step 2.
Under the "Video" tab, select "Compression".



Step 3.
From the list, select the Xvid MPEG-4 Codec, and click "OK".



Step 4.
Under the "Audio" tab, select "Full processing mode", and then click on "Compression".



Step 5.
From the list, select "MPEG Layer-3", and then choose the sound quality you want on your video. (Select the top one for the best quality)



Step 6.
Select "File"



Step 7.
Select "Save as AVI.."



Step 8.
Find the place you want to save it, and click save.


We're done! If you did everything correctly, your file will be compressed and saved.
